Leaving Lake Titicaca

Our last two stops in Bolivia took us to the lush landscape of Coroico, the land of biting insects unfortunately, but they come with the territory when that territory is made up of jungle, waterfalls and plantations as far as the eye can see!

From there we travelled via La Paz to Lake Titicaca. More then just a lake, staying on Isla del Sol was really magical, with Inca ruins, undisturbed countryside, a culture or people seemingly unaffected by 21st Century life, thousands of noisy burros, crystal clear night skies and the coldest water in the world. We were brave enough to jump into the lake - but jumped straight back out again...wimps!
